Backup & Sharing
Your prompt book represents weeks of work — Lx1go gives you several layers of protection.
Export & import a show
- Export: long-press a show on the home screen → Export. The show (pages, mark-up, styles) is shared as a single zip file you can send to another device, a colleague, or cloud storage.
- Import: the download icon on the home screen imports such a zip and adds the show to your list.
This is the way to move a prompt book between tablets or hand over to a deputy.
Backup one show
Long-press a show → Backup to save just that show as an encrypted
.lx1 file and share it — much faster than backing up everything
when only one prompt book changed.
Backup all shows
The home screen’s ⋮ menu → Backup All Shows writes every show into a
single encrypted .lx1 backup file and opens the share sheet.
Restoring
⋮ menu → Restore from Backup accepts any .lx1 file — single-show
or full. Restored shows are merged into your list: a show with the same
name is overwritten by the backup’s copy, others are left untouched.
Make a full backup before production week, and a per-show backup any time a prompt book has changed significantly.
Automatic daily versions
The first time you edit a show each day, Lx1go snapshots it internally. The Tools category’s Revert can restore a page’s original imported image after cleaning, and daily versions protect against accidents within a show.
What’s not undoable
The undo stack covers page content (elements, drawings, clears). These are permanent: deleting a show, deleting pages, and restoring over data. Export first when in doubt.
