Cues

Cues are the coloured boxes you call from during a show — LX 12, SFX 3, and so on. Each cue sits at the page edge with a line pointing to its exact trigger point in the script.

Placing cues

  1. Tap the Cue button (⊕) in the tool bar. The Add Cue panel opens as a small floating card (drag its header to any corner).
  2. Pick a category — LX, SFX, VID, FLYS, PYRO, or AV. Categories have their own colours and independent numbering; manage them in the Styles screen.
  3. The label pre-fills with the next number for that category across the whole show. Edit it if you need something specific.
  4. Toggle Follow-on for cues called immediately after the previous one — they display with a “→” prefix.
  5. Tap the script at the trigger point. The cue box snaps to the page edge (see Settings for which side), the line anchors where you tapped, and the panel advances to the next number so you can keep placing.

The panel stays open for rapid entry. Close it with ✕, or by tapping the Cue button again.

Out-of-sequence warnings

If you place a cue where its number would break the top-to-bottom order on the page (say, cue 6 between cues 1 and 2), Lx1go offers a point cue instead — e.g. 1.5 — or lets you keep the number or cancel.

Fixing the last cue

Picked the wrong category or follow-on? Change it in the panel and tap Update last — the most recent cue is updated in place, keeping its number, position, and line.

Panel controls

  • ⏸ Pause — suspends tap-to-place so taps select and pan normally; the panel stays open with your settings. Tap ▶ to resume.
  • ↶ Undo — removes the last placement.
  • Tapping on an existing element while placing selects it for editing instead of dropping a new cue on top. Tapping elsewhere afterwards deselects (it won’t place).

Editing cues

Double-tap any cue to open its properties panel:

  • Label and category — renumber or recolour the cue.
  • When — the spoken line the cue rides on, with a visibility toggle to show or hide it under the cue box on the page.
  • Details — what the cue actually does (“Cold blue wash”), also with its own show/hide toggle.
  • Automatic — marks cues fired by a system rather than called.
  • Style — pick a text style or adjust size and colours.
  • Connecting line — on/off, opacity slider, straight or curved.
  • Delete — removes the cue (undoable).

The cue list

⋮ menu → Cue List shows every cue in the show in page order — its label, colour, “when” line, and page number. Filter by category with the chips along the top, and tap any cue to jump to its page. This is your paperwork view: read it against the LX operator’s cue sheet at the production desk.
